I'm expecting! How soon should I reach out to book maternity & newborn portraits?
Congratulations! I recommend you reach out in your 2nd trimester to guarantee availability. Most sessions are reserved 10+ weeks in advance, but sometimes I'm able to accommodate last minute requests.

I typically aim for 5-14 days as this is when they are the sleepiest and squishiest (and most cooperative!). If you've missed the "newborn" window, no worries! No matter your baby's age we will be able to document beautiful memories.
What age is best for newborn portraits?

Peaceful, relaxed, and fun :) During the session, we'll capture images that are unique and authentic to your family. With fun prompts for everybody, we'll create images that are timeless and true to YOU. I'll employ all sorts of tricks like jokes, games, and lots of movement to keep your kiddos entertained and get those authentic smiles from everybody.
